The external light is connected with internal light and battery by a wire connector with a locking ring. The battery powers separately both of internal and external lights. During inflation of the liferaft, the battery can be automatically activated by pulling the activation pin out and both of lights are activated at the same time. The external light is a high intensity flashing light for mounting externally on liferaft to signal for rescue. The internal light is an adequate steady light for reading inside a covered liferaft. The two units are sealed and watertight.
